WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION AT AGS HIGHGROUND ANANTNAG

Today on 5th June 2026,The World Environment Day was observed at Army Goodwill School High Ground Anantnag through a series of impactful initiatives aimed at fostering ecological awareness.The event was a highly impactful and well-structured initiative, successfully fostering ecological awareness among students. By organizing a diverse mix of activities—including a Tree Plantation drive, Essay Writing competition, Swachhta Abhiyan, and an engaging Speech-cum-Lecture series—the school ensured comprehensive student engagement.
​The active participation of senior officials from the Forest Department, Anantnag, lent significant prestige and expertise to the event, especially during the plantation drive. This collaboration bridged the gap between academic learning and real-world conservation efforts. While the essay writing and speeches effectively sharpened the students' analytical and oratorical skills on environmental issues, the Swachhta Abhiyan instilled a practical sense of civic responsibility and hygiene. Overall, the event was outstanding, seamlessly combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on community service, and setting a commendable benchmark for future environmental advocacy within the region.
